The Team

We aren’t just architects or engineers, FourFront’s people are as rich in experience and diverse in personal interest as the history of our great company. A shared goal in being deeply committed to where we live, work and play connects us all – and it makes us proud to be a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and now a Certified Women-Owned Small Business.

Company History

We began as Brady Engineering in 1950 out of Spearfish, South Dakota with the goal to provide civil engineering services to the Black Hills region that would help our communities flourish. In 1980, we reorganized to form the Alliance of Architects and Engineers, then offering architecture to our services. Bryan Vulcan, a retired lieutenant colonel from the Army Corps of Engineers, bought controlling interest in 2003. In January of 2006, we merged with Thurston Design Group, LLP, to form FourFront Design, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, with an eye on expanding our services.
